About Nonviolent Communication (NVC)

Nonviolent Communication (NVC): It is a language skill also known as Compassionate or collaborative communication. It is a value system that guides us, it orients us to live, think and communicate in a particular way, and this particular way turns to generate particular results. That result is greater level of connection, and compassion.

This language skill was developed by an American Clinical Psychologist called Marshall Rosenberg way back in the 1960’s. As we stand today, NVC is taught and applied in over 65 countries touching the lives of hundreds of thousands of people around the world.

So there are really applications of NVC all the way from internal peace, personal relationship, and also on a systemic level, NVC is applied in education, business, politics, and conflict zones among others. In fact, NVC is applied in numerous contexts and in all walks of life.NVC is for Managers, Entrepreneurs, Social Workers, Health Workers, Parents, and people in Intimate Relationships. It is how we can apply this communication tool to contribute to social and institutional change.
